Rate Watch 4-16-2010

Carefully Floating:

Mortgage Backed Securities rallied today as the Stock markets plummeted after the Securities & Exchange Commission charged Goldman Sachs with fraud over the subprime mortgage market debacle back in 2007-2008. The news sent the broader equity markets plunging and took the shares of Goldman Sachs down nearly 30 pints before closing down $23 to $160.70. The Dow lost 125 points to 11,018.66. and Crude Oil fell in sympathy with Stocks falling $2.08 to $84.67/barrel.
