Mortgage backed Securities are up this morning and stocks are down big at the moment whipping out yesterday’s gains. Renewed concerns over China’s reluctance to lend money is causing problems here in the US. China is considering raising it benchmark interest rate significantly as early as this Friday. Housing Starts fell in December, due in part to bad weather throughout the country. Building Permits rose significantly in December to the best level since October 2008.
