Rate Watch 12-7-2009 Pearl Harbor Day

Cautiously Floating
After a six day sell-off, Mortgage Backed Securities are trading higher. There are no economic reports for release today, and the calendar for the rest of the week is light, but Mortgage Backed Security trading could be heavily influenced by the results of this week’s Treasury auctions. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke will be speaking today on the economy at the Economic Club of Washington at 12pm ET and this could move the markets. Stocks have given back most of their gains this morning and are near unchanged levels. Crude Oil is down slightly this morning at $74.92 per barrel. Gold Falls $26 per Ounce to $ 1,142. Today is the 68 year anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. If you or anyone you know is considering buying, selling or refinancing please contact me at 801 668 2112.
