Mortgage Backed Security prices have been extremely volatile over the last several weeks, as prices have worsened 200 basis points in the last 10 trading sessions. Gains in Stocks are adding pressure to MBS so far today. Crude oil is down @ $73.86 as the dollar moves higher. There are no economic reports due out today, but the rest of the shortened week will heat up with reports due out through Thursday. In addition, on Wednesday the Treasury Department will announce next week's auctions, which could add to the volatility.
