The Fed announced yesterday that over the course of 2009, they will purchase an additional $750 Billion of Mortgage Backed Securities to help shore up the housing market and keep home loan rates low.
Initial Jobless Claims showed that the number of people collecting state unemployment benefits jumped to a record seasonally adjusted 5.47 million.
